Deval Patrick is the first Democratic governor of Massachusetts since the Duke. He is pretty much a standard limousine liberal. He was a big-wig in the Clinton Justice department and then when they left office joined a few boards of corporations. He was caught soon after being elected lobbying for a sub-prime mortgage lender with the Fed. They just happened to be paying him 400K a year or so.
Now in commemoration of 9/11 in a state that lost a lot of residents, he says: “Among many other things, 9/11 was a failure of human understanding,” Patrick said. “It was a mean and nasty and bitter attack on the United States. But it was also a failure of human beings to understand each other, to learn to love each other.” (Boston Herald, 9/12).
He obviously doesn't get it. Random people can be mean and nasty at times. I also don't really want to understand an Islamofascist, to be honest.
